The blank for this pen is made from dyed Pheasant Feather. This pen is made by precisely placing the Pheasant feathers around the center of the pen blank, then using a clear acrylic resin to cover the feathers, which creates the astoundingly beautiful design you see.
The feather blanks are then turned, sanded, buffed, polished, and assembled to create the finished product shown in the photos above. Once you hold one of these in your hand, you will agree that they are worth every penny!An often overlooked element is how smoothly and quickly the cap attaches to the pen. The Statesman has 3 separate starting points for the cap/pen to catch on.
This allows for the cap to be tightened in only 1½ turns with a very smooth action. The pen cap can also be threaded on the back of the pen when not in use.
