RARE 1880's All Metal Automatic Fountain ink pen
RARE 1880's All Metal Automatic Fountain Pen. The Large nib is marked: "TURNER & HARRISON'S AUSTRALIAN". The nib is very large, approx. 1 1/2" long x 3/8" at its widest. Ink pen from the Philadelphia Novelty Manufacturing Company. The nib is from the Turner & Harrison was a steel pen (aka dip pen) company, located in Philadelphia, from its founding in 1875 until the company's dissolution in 1952. Sample writing done by "dipping" nib into ink bottle. The pen is not a Reproduction. Medium tip with Soft Flex.
The Pen is working as it was intended. The restoration involves disassembling the pen, cleaning, or replacing needed parts.
The Nib is smoothed and aligned and tested. The pen is then polished to restore its Beauty when it was new. The pen is Original and not a Reproduction. Fully RESTORED to original working condition. You are getting what is pictured.
