The Gun Metal plating offers a very durable low-luster white metal plating that will give your pen a subtle and elegant look. Paired with the Purple Haze blank this pen stands out as an exquisite example of beautiful craftsmanship. As a world renowned artisan, I was able to form this fine writing instrument through a painstaking process that involved several hours and stages in order to present a finely polished work of art. The blank was measured and drilled before inserting a brass tube. It was then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took it through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, followed by a three step polishing with White Diamond Polish resulting in a glass like finish.
